This is for students interested in taking on ad-hoc or project work for new UK start-ups and small businesses.
The employment market is flooded with untapped talent - unemployed people (including graduates) with skills that would bring instant benefits to a smaller company (i.e. admin, sales, marketing, media, design).
Small businesses (particularly new start-ups) can't afford to hire full time staff, and the larger organisations are more often wanting graduates with practical work experience.
There are an alarming number of graduates who are either out of work, or who are working in jobs that don't make any use of their degree - don't be one of them!
If small business owners were able to hire students/new graduates on an ad-hoc or project basis (paid or unpaid) it would provide the support the business needs to grow, and the student/graduate would gain the much needed work experience that makes them more attractive to the larger organisations.
Technology makes remote working easy, so businesses can employ the people they need regardless of where they live.
Start-ups (and small one man band businesses) present an ideal opportunity for students to get hands on work experience across multiple disciplines - imagine how marketable you would be!
